One of my most recent logo designs, this one for Archstone Mortgage, Inc. of Charlotte. I created two versions; the top one to simulate a rough-cut stone with the text etched out, and the bottom for use in other applications. You can view their site at Archstone.us.
Portfolio: Graphic Design – Ford Galaxie Cover
December 21, 2006
This is an example of one of the last catalogs I did while at Carpenter Industries.
This is the cover of the 1960-1964 Ford Galaxie Catalog.
The car photo was shot in the back lot at Dennis’ complex, the background was some stock photography I had on hand at the time that I thought was interesting.
I photoshopped the car and the ocean-side picture together, which created good composition and an interesting cover that got rave reviews from employees and customers alike.
The catalog was printed with glossy-coated, full-color covers front and back and a B&W interior.

DC Hot Rod logo; It was one of my ideas that never materialized that could have made a ton of money; instead of marketing to old people, market the same car parts to younger people in a more hip ash can sized magazine/catalog. Never got to work on it, never got any support other than from Jeff Motes, who left the company after a few years because he was burned out by them as well.

Free, Online version of Photoshop within 6 months?
February 28, 2007
Adobe to take Photoshop online | CNET News.com
Rumor has it that it will be a vastly scaled-down version of the imaging powerhouse application and will be free users with an ad-based revenue model. The online version would help curb piracy of the full desktop version of the product since most people just want to use it for the basics. “We recognize there is a customer there–we recognize they are not going to pay us, necessarily, directly,” said Adobe CEO Bruce Chizen in the cited Cnet.com article. Chizen noted that the ad revenue would allow them to get something where they currently get nothing.
